The Technical Committee of the Alliance of Rouge Committees (ARC) was formed following the terms of the ARC Bylaws. The Technical Committee is chaired by Mr. Tom Biasell of Farmington Hills and Mr. Gary Zorza, Farmington Hills, is the Vice-Chair. The Technical Committee is comprised of representatives of several ARC communities and other interested parties.

A major effort of the Technical Committee is the management of an on-going watershed wide monitoring program which involves the collection and management of a varitey of ecosystem monitoring data. The Watershed Monitoring Database Query Tool ( WebView) has been developed to provide access to data that has been collected since 1994 as part of the Rouge River Wet Weather Demonstration Project. The Rouge River Watershed database currently houses over 12 million records of ecosystem monitoring data characterizing water and sediment quality, hydrology and biological conditions.
